Who is Baby Cakes?

The kitchen has always been that space in the house synonymous with belonging. It’s where our memories live — sitting on the counter beside Grandma as she made biscuits on a Saturday morning, watching Dad bake far too many Thanksgiving desserts, breathing in the smell of Mom’s signature pie, learning to knead bread by hand, decorating cookies for the holidays, and marveling at the Christmas table filled with beautifully handcrafted cakes, pies, and candies. Baking has always been in the fabric of our DNA.

 

What began as a simple love for baking grew into a passion, and over time, that passion blossomed into a dream career. In 2012, while working at a family restaurant, our founder, Amanda Cano, dreamed up the very first Jumbo Stuffed Cupcake. What started as a bold and fun weekend special sparked a journey none of us could have expected. In those early years, we created what would become some of our most beloved flavors: The Rebel, the Golden Ticket, the Big Cheese, the Hepburn, Lisa Marie, Wedding Bells, and Banana Puddin’. For those first five years, Baby Cakes kept dreaming up Jumbo Stuffed Cupcakes—and customers kept coming back. Thanks to that loyal support, Baby Cakes eventually became a bakery all its own, right where we’re located today.
